Calbayog City - Robbers in Barangay Matobato, Calbayog City are on the loose.
According to a Police Report (Page 360 Entry No. 697, dated December 11, 2014), a robbery occurred in Barangay Matobato, Calbayog City on December 10, 2014 at or about 10:00 pm.
The victim, Jomer D. Fernandez, a 24-year-old resident of Barangay Matobato in Purok 7, reported that he was gripped by two unidentified assailants at a dark area of a barangay road going to Agoncillo Subdivision in Barangay Matobato.
Right then and there, one of the unidentified robbers grabbed and took away from Mr. Fernandez, his pouch containing the amount of Php11,500 and the keys to the main door of his house. Immediately thereafter, the two unidentified persons ran towards the direction of Purok 6, Barangay Matobato.
In response to the victim's complaint lodged at the Barangay outpost, Barangay Tanods exerted efforts to locate and catch the robbers, but were unsuccessful. The victim, thus, went to the police to report the matter.
