PagIBIG Fund announces opening of the Calamity Loan Program and a one-month moratorium for housing loan payment for members in Eastern Visays who were affected by the onslaught of Typhoon #KristinePH.
Pag-IBIG Fund Acting Area Head for North Central and Eastern Visayas, Alectys Bajarias, informed that members residing or working in areas placed under a state of calamity may apply to avail of a calamity loan and 1-month payment moratorium to housing loans.
Intended to mitigate difficulties from losses and damages incurred by members in areas of region 8 declared under a state of calamity, the announcement was made during the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas hosted by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) 8 on November 12, 2024.
Qualified members can apply for a loan equivalent to up to 80% of total PagIBIG regular savings at a low annual interest of 5.95%. The load can be made payable within 2 to 3 years.
Meanwhile, no additional charges will be made to the one-month housing loan payment moratorium.
Qualified members may apply thru virtual Pag-IBIG or at the nearest Branch and satellite offices until December 31, 2024.

Acting Area Head Bajarias also informed that for the period covering July 2022 to September 2024, PagIBIG released over Php1.42 billion in terms of multi-purpose loans that is indicative of PagIBIG’s continued commitment to support Filipino workers to own a house.
For the same period, PagIBIG was able to make members avail of a calamity loan. The amount of P87.4 million was released for the purpose.
