A newly completed concrete road is seen to enhance transportation for farmers, students, residents and daily road users in the Municipality of San Julian, Eastern Samar.
Construction of Access Road connecting two of the municipality’s Barangays, namely Putong and Libas (Sitio Macaarongon), funded from the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of FY 2023 has been completed at a contract time of 105 calendar days.
The completion of the 0.222km road will lead to a more convenient access to as well as delivery of goods and services. The accessibility will create a significant impact on the lives of people in the local community.

In his speech during the inauguration of the road held on May 10, 2024, DPWH Eastern Samar District Engineer Domcelio Natividad emphasized on the advantages that the community will benefit from the road.
"This road has the potential to facilitate more efficient transportation of agricultural products for farmers and provide easier access for tourists and locals visiting the popular dam in Potong. The road not only leads to the farmland but also provides access to the dam," said DE Natividad.

The inauguration of the newly completed road was attended by top ranking officials of the province, led by Cong. Marcelino C. Libanan, House Minority Floor Leader and 4Ps Partylist Representative, San Julian Local Government Officials; DPWH Eastern Samar District Engineering Office personnel; and local residents.
San Julian Mayor Dennis P. Estaron commended DPWH Eastern Samar for the smooth implementation of the road project and also acknowledged the support of Cong. Libanan in securing the funding for this significant road construction project.
