A new chairman is installed for Catbalogan Filipino-Chinese Volunteer Fire Brigade Association, Inc. (CFCVFBAI) following an election conducted during a board meeting held earlier this week at the Tiong Gui Temple, Ubanon, Catbalogan City.
Seated to the Chairmanship is a young blood. He is Sedfrey M. Uy. He is a long-time member of the fire brigade and during the stretch demonstrating his dedication to volunteerism and advocacies of the organization.
As the organization seeks to enhance community service and emergency response initiatives, the organization believes that the leadership of Uy marks a significant influence in its endeavors.
“We wish you a successful tenure filled with wisdom and courage knowing fully well that the brigade leadership will not be an easy job. Be assured that the organization will be in full support of your endeavors,” the association collectively said to emphasize commitment in backing up the new chairman.
Uy is currently President of the Liga ng mga Barangay and sits as ex-officio member in the City Council of Catbalogan following his election as Punong Barangay (Village Chief) of Poblacion 4 in December 2023. His Chairmanship of the fire brigade brings a wealth of experience in addition to his active involvement in local governance and community affairs.
The CFCVFBAI is known for its dedication to community service and disaster response. With Uy at the helm, members are optimistic about future initiatives and projects aimed at further strengthening their service to the community.(CJ/jmm/dmlj)
